The Heritage Railway Association has released a short statement in relation to tragic news from the Babbacombe Cliff Railway where a member of staff lost their life in an incident, which has been described as unrelated to the operation of the railway, on Sunday, 4 September 2022.
Heritage Railway Association Chief Executive, Steve Oates, said: “We were saddened to hear about the incident at Babbacombe Cliff Railway. Our thoughts and condolences are with everyone involved. We have contacted the team at Babbacombe to offer any help and support we can.”
