Lord Faulkner Young Volunteer Award

Lord Faulkner Young Volunteer Award

The HRA Lord Faulkner Young Volunteer Award

Criteria:

Awarded to a volunteer under the age of 26, for significant achievement and development.

Judges are looking to understand the journey that the young person has been on to reach their current level, what they’ve learnt so far and what direction their future is heading in. Think about whether their involvement in your organisation has increased their confidence, helped them meet personal goals, or given them new opportunities in their career.

Don’t forget to tell us about how they’ve integrated into your organisation and the importance of their contribution.

(Note: All shortlisted entries will receive a ‘HRA special commendation’).

TOP TIP: It's normally easier to work on your draft submission in a text document then paste it into the submission form when you're ready. Be clear and concise, use bullet points if neccessary.

The process:

Entering the HRA Annual Awards is easy.

Simply fill in and submit the easy to complete online nomination form below. You’ll need to include four high-quality images to support your submission. These should be in jpg format and be between 1mb and 5mb in size each.

Our judging team will be in touch later this year to let you know if you’ve been shortlisted.

TOP TIP: Remember the judges might not know your railway or project, explain exactly what you mean.

Please note that any information or images provided in your submission may be published by the Heritage Railway Association in connection with the awards and their publicity.
