HRA Autumn Conference 2024
Riviera International Centre, Torquay
Tuesday, 5 November and Wednesday, 6 November 2024
The theme for this conference is 'building resilience … building relevance'
As heritage rail, in common with many other elements of cultural heritage and the visitor economy, faces ever-growing and ever-changing challenges, our two-day conference focusses on being relevant and being resilient.
Provisional agendas now available
Day one, Tuesday 5 November, featuring the challenges of refocussing and reshaping a heritage railway, funding, regulation, safety and infrastructure.
Day two, Wednesday, 6 November featuring remaining relevant as an attraction, marketing, competence, Railway 200, and a strategy for the next five years.
Bookings open
The Heritage Railway Association Autumn Conference is coming to the South West of England. This two-day event in Torquay will feature the usual high-quality speakers, great networking opportunities and the latest insight for the sector.
Our venue for the event is the Riviera International Centre, which is close to Torquay rail station and has ample parking for those arriving by car.
Among the subjects expected to be highlighted at this event are fundraising, online marketing and permanent way. We'll be confirming the full list of speakers and topics soon.
Our Autumn Conference is the biggest of the year and is widely considered to be a must-do event among heritage rail directors, trustees, managers and leaders. Alongside the formal programme, the event provides the best opportunities to meet and talk with counterparts from other heritage railways, tramways, funiculars and rolling stock groups throughout the UK.
