We provide a platform that allows heritage and cultural attractions to promote themselves to their target audiences. This is on a commercial basis but deliberately designed to be exceptionally affordable for all sizes of attractions who are eligible to join.
Since I was a very small child, I have always had a huge passion for trains and heritage railways. As a teenager I volunteered for several years with the Churnet Valley Railway with their PWay gang, and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience. Along with my own enthusiasm for railways, and an appreciation of the work that many 1,000s of staff and volunteers commit to preserving our steam and diesel heritage, Monty’s Guide was born out of a desire to promote some of our most treasured attractions in the United Kingdom and help them thrive.
With both the impact of Covid19 restrictions and the absence of a current portal which brings great attractions together in one place, Monty’s Guide aims provide an affordable resource which helps heritage railways promote themselves to a wider audience and deliver an uplift in visitor numbers.
