Heritage Railway Association Policy and Communications Manager, Mark Pearce, said: “I know from personal experience as a young working volunteer, that having the HRA pass made all the difference when I was looking to visit other railways and learn from how others did things. It’d be great to see more people from HRA members visiting each others railways and creating new opportunities to share their experiences and knowledge.”

How to get your HRA Privilege pass

The quickest and easiest way to purchase your HRA Privilege card is to purchase online Please note that your pass will be dispatched directly to your railway or organisation and not you individually.

Passes are normally processed within seven days, but please be aware that they are sent to your organisation by second class post, which can be prone to taking longer during bank holidays or other disruption to normal working hours. We are NOT able to provide a guaranteed delivery timescale.

If you are purchasing a pass for a specific visit, please factor this in and allow plenty of time as your pass will not arrive immediately. Please allow a reasonable timescale for delivery before considering your card to be lost. All enquiries should be directed through the HRA Privilege coordinator at your own railway or tramway in the first instance.

HRA Privilege passes can also be purchased via your own member railway or organisation in the same way that our previous InterRail passes were. Please note that we are not currently accepting payment by cheque or bank transfer.

Before making a purchase, please take time to read the Terms and Conditions. Please note that purchases made by any persons not eligible for this scheme will incur an admin fee, deducted from any refunds.
